About us
The First State Detachment Marines is a charted 501 (c) 4 non-profit organized to raise funds that support local community service programs to enhance the lives of the communities we serve. Money raised benefit and support our neighbors in Worcester and Sussex Counties here on the Eastern Shore. Projects like our Youth Physical Fitness Program, Toys for Tots, The Semper Fi Fund and other noble charities have benefitted deserving families and individuals since our founding in 1989.
We meet on the on the 4th Wednesday every month at the Ocean City Maryland American Legion Post 166 located on Coastal Highway and 24th Street at 1200. Marines, Navy Corpsman are invited to join us for any of our meetings and the social gathering held after a meeting and learn the benefits for joining The First State Detachment MCL and serving our community.
